From the Airport to the Airwaves: How Climb & Conquer is Growing Its Presence Across Teesside

It’s been a big year for Climb & Conquer. We’ve moved into our new office in Thornaby, grown the team, and our name is popping up in more places across Teesside than ever before.

But for us, growing as a business has never just been about getting our name out there. It goes hand in hand with investing in the community that helped us get here. The more we grow, the more we can give back, and the more we give back, the stronger our roots in the region become.

Over the past year, investing in Teesside and the North East has turned into five partnerships we’re really proud of: an airport wrap, a weekly radio slot, and support for local young people, grassroots football and a charity helping families through loss. Here’s how each one is helping us, and the region, climb a little higher.

Making an Impression at Teesside International Airport

If you’ve flown from Teesside recently, you might have spotted us. Our C&C wrap is up next to the bar, one of the busiest spots in the terminal, where people tend to stop, queue and look around.

And it’s there for a whole year.

The airport is expecting around 263,322 passengers between March 2026 and February 2027. That’s roughly 22,000 people a month walking past our wrap.

Some of them will run a business, or work for one that’s looking to grow and could use a hand. The wrap is designed to catch the eye and shows the services we offer, so they’ll know exactly who to call.

For our founder, Shane, the reason was simple. Teesside Airport is iconic locally, and we wanted to support it in any way we could.

It’s also a nice change from what we usually do. Most of our work happens online, so seeing our name in a real-world space, where people can’t just scroll past it, is a good reminder that the best marketing often mixes digital and physical.

Taking Search Trends to the Airwaves on The Red Radio

Every Friday at 08:30, we take over a slot on The Big Red Breakfast on The Red Radio. It’s called The Search Party.

Each week we share what people across the UK, the North East and Teesside are searching for, pulled from live Google Trends data that morning.

It’s a natural fit for us. Understanding what people search for, and when, is at the heart of our work in SEO and paid search, and The Search Party is a more fun, public-facing version of that.

No two weeks are the same. Our very first episode covered everything from Boro vs Ipswich to the £4 million restoration of Middlesbrough Town Hall.

The Red reaches a lot of people across the region:

  • 469,023 people live in its broadcast area
  • 61,000 unique listeners tune in every week
  • 200,000 people follow it on social media
  • 2,000 podcast downloads and over 13,000 video views every month

Inspiring the Next Generation with Power of Women

In October 2025, as we moved into our new office in Thornaby, we partnered with Power of Women. They’re a local organisation helping young people across Tees Valley and County Durham believe in their potential, reaching more than 1,500 students a year through mentoring, workshops and ambassador opportunities.

We wanted to do more than put our name to it. Daisy and Kelsey from our team were invited to take part in Power of Women’s interview videos, answering questions about what they do, how they got into it and the role models who inspired them.

They also volunteered on the interview panel for the Primary Ambassador Programme at Tilery Primary School in Stockton. The programme is all about building confidence in children aged 9 to 11.

On the day, Daisy and Kelsey interviewed 10 pupils, both boys and girls, and helped choose the new ambassadors for 2026/27.

It doesn’t stop at the interviews either. Once chosen, the ambassadors get to meet successful people from all kinds of industries and visit local businesses, universities and workplaces.

Past ambassadors have even visited Teesside International Airport to learn about careers in aviation. So who knows, some of them might spot our wrap one day.

And we’re not stopping there. Our team will keep volunteering and getting involved in Power of Women’s events, and we’ve already got more lined up.

You can read more about how the partnership began in our Power of Women blog.

Backing Grassroots Football with West Cornforth Miners

We’re proud sponsors of the West Cornforth Miners, a kids’ football team in County Durham. If you catch one of their games, you’ll spot the C&C logo on their match strips.

The team even gave us an award to say thank you, which meant a lot to all of us.

Grassroots clubs like this give young people somewhere to play, make friends and build their confidence, and they rely on local support to keep going. We’re glad to play a small part in that, and we’ll be cheering them on from the sidelines.

Supporting Families Through 4Louis

4Louis is a charity that supports families going through miscarriage, stillbirth and the loss of a child. They provide memory boxes filled with keepsakes, helping families create lasting memories of their loved one.

They also offer free training and equipment to hospitals, hospices and other professionals who care for grieving families, so that no family has to go through it alone.

As a corporate sponsor, we make a monthly contribution to help them continue this important work. If you’d like to find out more about 4Louis or support them yourself, you can visit their website.

Why We’ll Keep Investing in Teesside

Our airport wrap and weekly radio slot help more people across the region find out who we are. Our work with Power of Women, West Cornforth Miners and 4Louis is about something different: being a good neighbour to the community around us.

Put together, they show the kind of business we want to be. Teesside has helped us grow, and we’ll keep investing in the region and looking for new ways to give back.
