When we recruit for our remote trainee SEO position, we typically look for someone with a passion for SEO, to join our small but effective team. The ideal candidate would be working with a small portfolio of clients – doing everything we possibly can to help grow their business through Search – with the full support of the team and working alongside the director.
What would your average week look like?
Ultimately, our goal is to train successful candidates to be account handlers, whereby you’ll manage a handful of clients and become an expert in their industries. There may be some wiggle room to play to your specific strengths but you would be expected to perform the following tasks weekly once fully trained:
– Client meetings & reporting
– Site auditing, competitor analysis and search console reviews
– Keyword research and mapping
– Content writing (this can include blogs, product pages, meta descriptions etc)
– On-page optimisation
– Technical SEO reviews & implementation
– Some aspects of UX design
About the role:
Tasked with growing our client’s business through Search Engine Optimisation, you’ll help grow their visibility sustainably, as quickly and effectively as possible, with full training given when required.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with clients, have the organisational skills to follow through on actions and also have the right attitude to learn and develop within the role.
The company is committed to providing as much training and development as required to help deliver best-in-class SEO campaigns.
You won’t be required to do any selling or pitching – this is to bolster the service delivery on existing campaigns.
You won’t be required to work weekends or evenings.
This role will be remote, occasionally we‘ll get together as a team for food or an event, client meeting or training. This is very uncommon (1-3 times per year) and full accommodation and travel tickets will be provided.

What the ideal candidate would have:
- A genuine drive to do well with for our clients. Helping turn our clients hard hard-earned cash into significant uplifts in sales.
- A willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Confidence and people skills – we’d want to train you into an account management role so these skills would be vital.
Previous marketing or SEO experience is not required but it would be advantageous. - Experience in an agency setting (preferably marketing or SEO) would again be advantageous but is not required.
- A proactive approach and ability to take action yourself.
- Everything else, we’ll help train you up – you’ll have a full-time mentor and additional staff all rooting for you, we’re a close-knit team.

Pay: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year starting salary
