Meet our SEO Performance Manager, Victor Stasiak

People make the biggest difference in our industry, despite what you may hear about ChatGPT! We’ve started a new breakaway blog theme of introducing members of the team in a more involved format, a fun Q&A styled post.

Victor joined the company a couple of years ago when we were operating solely under a freelance basis; nowadays he’s managing over 5 internal staff full time and a supporting role in a few client accounts. Victor is absolutely testament to how far hard work, determination and caring about results can get you in SEO – we’re really looking forward to watching his career progress over the coming years.

What is your favourite part of SEO?

That’s a hard one to answer since I’m somewhat of an ‘overall’ SEO – being pretty comfortable with all sides of it. However, if pressed for an answer, I would have to say technical SEO – I am a very very happy man when I log on and know that I’m optimising a client’s site for page load speed or shifting through countless audit sheets. A close second would be creating and implementing strategic internal linking plans – a tedious job but really fun and more importantly impactful!

What is your LEAST favourite part of SEO? We’ve all got one!

As someone who proofreads A LOT of content most days, I can tell you that it’s not the most glorious part of my job. So It would definitely be that.

What is your favourite thing about working remotely?

It saves me about 5 to 10 hours per week by not having to travel to the office. Also, I have no self-control when around people and I will talk to everyone I see so working remotely is probably the only option for me ha.

If you could work with any client in the world, who would it be and why?

All Saints – sometimes our clients give us discounts when we do a great job and since about 70% of my wardrobe is All Saints, I really wouldn’t mind a cheeky 50% off code 🙂

If Climb & Conquer had a physical office, who do you think would be talking to everyone the most?

Me – I’m willing to bet money that the rest of the team will also say me.

What’s a weird fact about you that not many people know?

I hate birthday cake. Not cake in general, just birthday cake. Growing up, my parents would always get this very specific type of birthday cake and I hated it. Now I have birthday cake PTSD.

What food do you think is overrated and overhyped?

Birthday cake.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

Invisibility – I would sneak into Google’s HQ and study their Algorithm.

What does your ideal day look like?

First thing, I check search console – all green shoots. Check emails, happy clients. Proceed to optimise a client’s site for page speed, and finish off my work day by training the team. Not really too far from what my days already look like – just sprinkle in a bit of chaos and business development.
