The good news just keeps rolling in for us at Climb & Conquer at the moment! Following our recent spot on the Prolific North ‘Independent Agencies to Watch’ list (more here if you missed that!), we’ve now been named as a Finalist in the Agency of the Year (under 20 employees) category at the North East Marketing Awards!
The North East Marketing Awards celebrate marketing excellence in the North East of England, with categories highlighting achievements across marketing, digital, and PR sectors. This year’s ceremony, set for December 5 at St James Park, Newcastle, will recognise top agencies, in-house teams, and individuals for their contributions to the region’s business and marketing success.
The awards are judged by a panel of esteemed marketing professionals from across the region, with representatives from agencies, consultancies in recruitment and the likes of Newcastle Building Society, iamproperty, Fentimans, Sunderland University, Parkdean Resorts and many more. Our founder, Shane Parkins, and Head of Growth, Cameron Keegan-Wood, will be heading to meet the panel for an intensive judging session in person in a few weeks, where judges will delve into the intricacies of our agency and how we’re doing things differently. Hopefully, resulting in a win!
Nevertheless, even if our finalist placing this year doesn’t result in an award win, we are so proud to be on the shortlist within our first year of launching as an official agency. Sure, we’ve been going since 2021 as a smaller digital freelance consultancy, but since making the move to agency and rebranding as Climb & Conquer earlier this year, things have truly gone from strength to strength, and this recognition is further motivation to keep pushing on with our big plans.
Winning would cement our status as a true agency to watch in the region and highlight us as an employer of choice for anyone looking for an agency that is actually doing things differently in the way we operate, providing accessible routes to a digital career and supporting emerging talent in the industry with our robust training and mentoring. As Shane recently disclosed in this post, we’ve also been making softer changes that will impact the well-being of our employees, and some environmentally-focused initiatives have been introduced, too.
We’re gearing up for our biggest year ever in 2025 and to win the Agency of the Year award at the North East Marketing Awards 2024 would be the icing on a truly magnificent cake.
Best of luck to the finalists and big thanks to the organisers and judges for seeing our potential this far.
