The eagle-eyed among you may have spotted a few press appearances for our SEO and PPC agency over the past month or so, following our rebrand to Climb & Conquer. We’ve also crunched the numbers and projected some ambitious financial goals for the next two years, which we’re excited to share.
Since launching back in 2021, back then as Shane Parkins, we’ve enjoyed impressive growth and are now on track for a £500,000 turnover by the end of this current financial year (August 2024), followed by a target of £750,000 for 2025, then £1.3m by EOFY 2026.
The rebrand and projections signal ambitious team expansion plans for Climb & Conquer, with an additional 6 roles to be created in 2024 on top of our recent hires. The agency has recently welcomed new clients including MotorEasy, Mallet London and Crumbs & Doilies, with more exciting new clients still to be announced.
A unique aspect of Climb & Conquer is our hiring style, with every member of the team initially joining the business at trainee level and benefiting from on-the-job bespoke training and mentoring, giving them a holistic view of digital services and performance as a whole across Technical SEO, Content, Paid Search, Outreach, Analytics and Dat.
Following this training, team members then choose the discipline they wish to specialise in.

Climb & Conquer Managing Director, Shane Parkins
Parkins explains the thought process behind this approach, saying:
“I’m very passionate about creating an environment where team members can learn a wide breadth of digital expertise and grow as the agency grows. I’m also proud to be giving many their “big break” into a digital career, whether that’s someone fresh out of education, or wanting to retrain. For me, it’s about breaking down those siloes and barriers to build a team of like-minded, determined individuals.
“Our approach means every single team member joins as a trainee, learns their craft, then has options to progress at whatever rate their ambition pushes them to, within their chosen specialism.”
The rebrand to Climb & Conquer also requires a more established senior leadership team, with Victor Stasiak and Blanaid May stepping up into more senior positions and playing an active role in the business direction. Both have been with the agency since 2022.
Parkins adds:
“I am incredibly proud of the business we are building and the results we’re achieving. I started this as a solo consultancy venture just over 3 years ago and the growth ever since still staggers me! I’m excited for the future as Climb & Conquer and where that will take us. We’re only getting started.”
To celebrate the rebrand and exciting projections, we asked Climb & Conquer MD, Shane Parkins, to answer 5 questions about his career journey to date, our agency’s why, and more:
Describe Climb & Conquer in your own words and the type of business you want it to be:
I want clients to genuinely believe our staff and the agency care more about the campaign results than they do. It’s all about generating results, maintaining meaningful touch points with clients and operating with good business sense and a constant commercial eye. I’m extremely proud of our About Us page because it captures the very essence of what Climb and Conquer is about and why we exist as an agency. No fluff, no BS, just results we can all be proud of at the end of a working day.
What part of your role and business do you enjoy most?
Providing the opportunities I wish I’d had throughout my career.
After working in some difficult places alongside other frazzled marketers I know that things can be tough for staff, so I’ll always try and get ahead of staff performance and offer them opportunities and/or a pay rise before they ask, for example. It’s about recognising everyone’s contribution and forward thinking so you can keep team members engaged, motivated and performing well.
I also get a real buzz from growing companies through search. There’s never a better buzz than speaking to a business owner who is chuffed to bits because you’ve changed their business and injected some life into it.
What causes/missions are you passionate about that you plan to achieve with the business?
I know firsthand hand you can pour your heart and soul into a business, and get amazing results and if you walk out after 6 months it’s like you haven’t been there and have nothing to show for the work. I’m passionate about bringing everyone up with the agency, as it grows everyone grows with it – hence why we don’t recruit anyone above anyone, so the early starters can be rewarded and have options to grow. We want to give people a break into the industry and reward them for good work.
Mental health is also a big one and I’m currently exploring expanding our initiatives that allow for continued balance, eradicating the typical “agency burnout” that can affect so many in our industry. Mental well-being is really important and I want to do something in a meaningful and effective way that empowers our people to do their best work and be their best selves.
