One of the benefits of working with Climb and Conquer is we work with a wide array of industries, we also have staff who specialise in certain areas, such as eCommerce and lead generation. As a professional Google Ads agency, we know we need to react quickly, utilising our expertise and operating under the commercial framework that makes the strategy viable (and to thrive). Paddlefish Adventures provides deep sea fishing and boat trips in Newquay, Cornwall – the business is family ran and operates around a key trading period (closing down for the colder, winter months).

We were commissioned by Paddlefish Adventures to help them drive additional footfall, bookings and awareness by the owners; utilising our expertise to help Ads work harder and better for their business. This campaign was worked on by Blanaid and Matt.

Key considerations:

  • The business operates during a fixed trading window (warmer months).
  • There was ineffective tracking set up on the website.
  • Previous campaigns were obsolete and we needed to create a brand new structure.
  • We had to target the tourism trade as part of the campaign, this means targeting people who are outside of the area but are likely to arrive in the area during the warmer months.
  • We needed to develop visibility around people in the local area, wanting to go on a boat trip.

What we have done:

  • Created an effective ‘out of area’ campaign, targeting users who are looking for things to do within the area, even if they aren’t in the area at the time – showing promise they are looking to visit.
  • Created an in-area campaign, people looking for things to do, including boat trips, in the local area.
  • Setup and managed the tracking and reporting side of Ads and wider business – including dealing with a complex and hidden booking system.
  • Weekly, monthly and QBR-style check ins and reporting.
  • Constant campaign challenges, reviewing structure, optimisation and the very basics of managing an account.
  • Adapting targets, spend and campaign performance based around seasonality and trading performance / capacity.

What we achieved:

Firstly, let’s review the feedback from the client:
