MotorEasy

MotorEasy is an industry leader when it comes to Car Warranty and Gap Insurance – they have over 1m members and operate in quite a competitive industry, insurance. Climb & Conquer were originally brought in to handle the companies SEO efforts but shortly into the campaign due to the campaign success, we were able to take over their Google Ads account.

MotorEasy operate a professional call centre and sales team, this comes with its own considerations – ensuring the team operationally have enough leads to keep them busy and effective. Secondary considerations revolve around the lead quality and how we qualify them, all of these considerations under a commercial framework of cost per lead, cost per conversion and rigorous daily spend.

Operating our SEO services and Ads management in cohesion has had a major impact on the business – it allows us to look at the full picture and work each area together for the greater good of the business – occasionally when you have each channel managed differently there are points of conflict (such as brand terms – a major revenue driver). Climb and Conquer operate a dedicated automotive SEO service as we’ve built up quite a high degree of industry expertise over the years.

Key considerations: 

  • Ranking the business for over 150 flagship terms being closely aligned with core services.
  • Establishing how we can compete with some major players in the industry (big brands who touch on their services).
  • Understanding the business, learning from their in-house team (who are amazing to deal with) on what a good lead looks like, brainstorming ideas and understanding what a good operational day looks like.
  • Establishing budgets, targets and commercial frameworks around Ads and where we can add the maximum amount of value.

What we have done:

  • Overhauled their entire PPC account from root to tip – utilising new bidding technology but also working on the basics.
  • Establishing core reporting lines which collate GA and business data together to give true commercial performance.
  • Optimise over 1,000 pages of content, rigorous technical audits and full SEO management and support.
  • Working closely with commercial managers, sales managers, marketing managers and their development team to ensure success on the dynamic strategy we adopted.

What we achieved:

  • Over 70% increase in non-branded traffic
  • 100 of the 140 keywords targeted are in the top 3 positions (not being in the top 10 before working with them).
  • Significant drops in the cost per lead – driving strong commercial performance from an Ads perspective.
  • Opened up new channels and areas of paid search which weren’t being utilised.
  • Increased the full back end performance of lead quality, cost per lead and back office conversion rates.
